What is Hypnosis?
Hypnosis is a state of deep relaxation where your subconscious mind is open to receive and integrate positive thoughts and suggestions. Hypnosis used for therapeutic value can modify unwanted thoughts or behaviors by replacing old belief systems that no longer serve you with new beliefs and habits you desire.
Why chose Hypnotherapy?
Because it works! The benefit of hypnosis is that we can access and work with your subconscious mind to facilitate change. With the guidance of a qualified and skilled hypnotherapist, you can align your subconscious motivations with your conscious intentions. The secret to transformation is to plant your desires subconsciously and exercise them consciously. Hypnotherapy is a drug-free alternative for change but can be used in tandem with other healing modalities for a holistic wellness plan. If you have a diagnosis of any kind, we may need to request a referral from your physician(s).
Can I be Hypnotized?
Yes, everyone is hypnotizable.
Who can benefit from Hypnotherapy?
Anyone! Hypnosis is a tool that helps with everything from general self-improvement to pain management, weight loss and smoking cessation. Used for vocational and avocational self-improvement, there are limitless ways to benefit from Hypnotherapy.
What happens if I don’t come out of Hypnosis?
It is not possible to be fixed in a trance-state. All trances end, whether by the hypnotherapist in session or naturally by you.
In Hypnosis, will I do something I don’t want to do or say something I don’t want to say?
You cannot and will not ever be driven to do or say anything in hypnosis that does not align with your personal, ethical and moral standards. Your comfort is my highest priority in helping you therapeutically reach your goals.
What can I expect during a Hypnotherapy session?
In hypnosis you are not unconscious asleep nor are you consciously alert and awake, you are in the in between state of profound physical and mental relaxation. Hypnosis is a natural state, and everyone experiences it differently. For most people, when they wake up after their first hypnosis in therapy, describe how much better and more relaxed they feel, and can see the process of change has already begun.
